Sleep Deprivation Study
SLEEP DEPRIVATION STUDY

We are seeking healthy adults with regular sleeping routines to participate in a research study investigating how sleep deprivation impacts brain function.
What the study will include
Participants will be asked to either:
- Stay awake overnight at the Centre for Neurology Studies OR
- Sleep as usual at home
Participation Schedule:
- 4 cognitive assessment time-points over 2 days, pre-and post-sleep or sleep-deprivation
- Sleep Study Date: July 29-30
Assessments Include:
- NeuroCatch® Platform 2 EEG brain scans
- Computer-based cognitive testing
Participant Compensation:
- Sleep as usual group: Up to $200
- Staying awake overnight group: Up to $500 and partial travel reimbursement
Eligibility:
You may qualify as a study participant, if you are:
- An adult between the ages of 19 and 45 years old
- In good health with no history of clinically relevant neurological illness, acute disease or conditions, or injury in the last 5 years
- A good, habitual sleeper of 6-10 hours per day
- Not diagnosed with any sleep disorders
Location:
The study requires you to participate in-person at the Centre for Neurology Studies (located at City Centre 1, 13737 96th Avenue, Unit 204, Surrey, BC)
